O Brother Where Art Thou
So far, O Brother Where Art Thou is an okay movie. Some parts remind me of The Odyssey, while others don't. The part where the women are singing in the forest was just like The Sirens, except in the movie, the men got lured in, but in the book, all the men except Odysseus weren't able to actually hear the singing. I thought it was funny in the beginning of the movie where the 3 men (Everett, Pete, and Delmer) were chained together and trying to get on the train, but then fell off. The movie kind of confuses me at points, but it is funny, especially the three main characters.

yeah, that part of the movie i thought was weird. There was just random chicks in a river singing. But it really relates to the sirens in the odyssey.
I agree that parts of the movie were ok and others not
after mrs gilman got so excited i thought it would be better then that
Yeah, a lot of the Odyssey didn't make sense with the movie to me. Well I guess "Based" means, kind of like it... but really not. According to this book and movie anyways.
I think you have some good points about the movie being ok, but I thought that it was better than what you thought. I also agree though that Pete and Delmar are pretty dang funny.
Yeah I thought alot fo it was very confusing. I forgot about that part! I had a feeling the last guy wouldnt make it on and that would happen, which it did. haha
I liked that part too. I liked how Everett was on and so was Delmar so it was all up to Pete to get on but he trips which causes none of them to be able to get on the train. It was really funny.
Katey, I agree But I love the song they had on the movie. haha.
